Lightning finds a moogle village deep in Jagd Woods-and just in the nick of time, as it turns out, as their peaceful existence is under attack by menacing Dryads.

The player can grow Sylkis Greens in the village vegetable patch by bringing a Vegetable Seed. Lightning wishes Odin and Mog would become good friends and Mog promises to try. After Lightning has visited the Temple of the Goddess and learned the truth about her steed, Mog tells Lightning how he met Odin in Valhalla and was scared. Once the Angel of Valhalla is fully recovered, Mog feels a strange connection to the bird, as if they have met before, and Lightning shares his sentiment. If her Angel of Valhalla is still injured, Mog comments on it. Mog stays in the now peaceful village with the moogles, and Lightning can return and talk to him any time. After Lightning talks with him some more, he reveals that he was inspired to create the village by the example of New Bodhum. An overjoyed Mog tries to hug Lightning, but she is uncomfortable with such public displays of affection and flicks him off. She explains Serah will be revived and asks for Mog to be there when that happens. After finding him, Lightning smooths things out with him by telling he she does not blame him for Serah's death. After seeing Lightning, Mog gets scared and runs away. She dispatches the foes and meets the moogles' chief, Mog. Lightning navigates her way to the fabled village and finds it under attack by Dryads.
